La vita in blu
“life in blue”

Cyanotype printing is a historical photographic process that utilizes a photosensitive chemical solution and exposure to ultraviolet light to produce a distinctive blue-toned image. Traditionally practiced on paper, the process has long been valued for its tactile quality and deep, luminous hue. In my own work, I have extended this technique beyond its conventional form by experimenting with textiles as the printing surface. This shift introduced new layers of texture, imperfection, and intimacy to the images, while reinforcing my commitment to sustainable making practices.

Working on fabric has become integral to my process, merging photographic precision with the tactile, handmade nature of textile work. The medium’s responsiveness to light, fiber, and touch continues to challenge and inspire me, encouraging an ongoing dialogue between tradition and experimentation.
